The Bibliography Generator is a comprehensive tool designed to help students create properly formatted citations and bibliographies for academic papers. This tool supports multiple citation styles including APA, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard, making it versatile for various academic disciplines.
Choose your required citation style (APA, MLA, Chicago, or Harvard) by clicking the corresponding button at the top of the tool.
Select the type of source you're citing (book, website, journal article, etc.) to display the appropriate form fields.
Fill in all required fields (marked with *) and any optional fields that apply to your source. For multiple authors, use the "Add Another Author" button.
Click the "Generate Citation" button to create your formatted citation based on the information provided.
Save citations to your bibliography list, edit existing entries, or export your complete bibliography for use in your paper.
Currently, we support APA (7th Edition), MLA (9th Edition), Chicago (17th Edition), and Harvard citation styles. We plan to add more styles in future updates.
Yes! Your bibliography is automatically saved in your browser's local storage. However, we recommend exporting important bibliographies as they may be lost if you clear your browser data.
Use the "Add Another Author" button to add fields for each additional author. The citation will be formatted according to the selected style's guidelines for multiple authors.
Click the "More" button under Source Type to see additional source types. If your specific source still isn't listed, choose the closest match and include additional details in notes if needed.
Yes, you can edit any citation in your saved bibliography by clicking the edit icon next to the entry. This will reload the form with your previous information for modification.
